Makes one sheet pan worth.
{Ingredients}
3 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 cups worth of extras (ideas: craisins, pretzels (broken), roasted almonds (roughly chopped), cashews)
Salt
{Directions}
Line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment or waxed paper.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave in a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute, stir, and microwave on high for 1 minute more. If necessary, microwave on high for 10 seconds more, and stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Stir the extras in well with a flexible spoonula.
Spoon onto the prepared cookie sheet, spreading the mixture out so that ingredients are relatively evenly distributed. Sprinkle salt evenly over the warm bark.
Allow for the chocolate to cool for several hours or refrigerate for about 45 minutes, until firm. Break the bark into irregular pieces, like peanut brittle.
{Notes}
A GREAT go-to for a last minute dessert or hostess gift. The ingredients can easily be swapped to accommodate what you have in the house and they are always a crowd pleaser.
Play around with it based on the occasion or favorite flavors. Next, I want to try mixing butterscotch and chocolate chips with marshmallows and pretzel sticks!
